THE IDEA

The Gidi Vibes is an Afrobeat music community inspired by the energy and pulse of Lagos, Nigeria. We are dedicated to promoting and celebrating the vibrant culture of African-inspired music in the diaspora.

Our project aims to bring together artists, musicians, and music lovers to create immersive experiential events that showcase the unique beats and rhythms of the Afrobeat genre.

These events will include live performances, DJ sets, and music workshops, designed to fill a significant gap in East Yorkshire, where most Africans rarely get the chance to see African artists perform live.

Our goal is to create a space where established and emerging artists can connect with local audiences, expand their fan base, and share the vibrant energy of African music with a community eager for such experiences.

LASGIDI VIBES

We are thrilled to kick off The Gidi Vibes journey with the Lasgidi Vibes Afrobeat Showcase, the biggest event of its kind in Hull. This premier Afrobeat music experience, dedicated to celebrating African-inspired music, will debut on June 7, 2024, at Social, Humber Street in Hull.

Featuring a stellar lineup of talented Nigerian artists, Lasgidi Vibes aims to showcase the diversity and vibrancy of Afrobeat while promoting cultural inclusivity in Hull. Headlining the event is SESS THEPRBLM, a dynamic musician known for his unique blend of Afrobeat and contemporary influences. Joining SESS is the acclaimed producer and DJ TMXO, whose infectious beats and energetic performances have captivated audiences worldwide. Completing the lineup is renowned Hip-Hop artist Vector Tha Viper, bringing his signature style and lyrical prowess to the Lasgidi Vibes stage.
